Rider Support at La Gravel Tro Breizh
La Gravel Tro Breizh is a fully self-supported ultra-distance gravel and bikepacking event.
Participants are responsible for navigation, mechanical repairs, food, water, accommodation and rest throughout the approximately 1,350 km route.
The organiser provides event administration, GPS tracking and checkpoint monitoring rather than conventional supported-race services.
GPS Tracking
GPS tracking is provided through a MadCap tracking device included with registration.
The tracking system allows the organiser to monitor rider progress and enables friends and family to follow participants remotely.
Riders must follow the official course and comply with the organiser’s tracking requirements.
Route Navigation
The organiser provides the official GPX route and road book.
Final 2027 route files are scheduled for release on 1–2 May 2027.
Participants must follow the prescribed course without shortcuts and carry suitable navigation equipment.
Checkpoints
The event includes designated checkpoints where riders must validate their progress.
Checkpoint locations and operating arrangements will be included in the final route information.
Checkpoint volunteers do not provide food, mechanical assistance or other personal support.
Mechanical Support
Riders are responsible for maintaining and repairing their bicycles throughout the event.
Commercial bicycle shops and other publicly available services may be used where permitted by the event regulations.
Private assistance from friends, family or pre-arranged support crews is prohibited.
Food and Water
Participants must obtain their own food and water throughout the route.
No organiser-provided feed stations have been confirmed for the 2027 edition.
Riders may use publicly available shops, cafés and restaurants for resupply.
Accommodation and Rest
Riders are responsible for planning their own rest and accommodation.
Pre-booking accommodation along the route before the event begins is prohibited.
Safety and Mandatory Equipment
Participants must be at least 18 years old.
Helmets, suitable front and rear lights, and high-visibility clothing during darkness or poor visibility are required.
Electric-assist bicycles are not permitted.
Riders should consult the official regulations for the complete mandatory equipment and insurance requirements.
Finish Facilities
The organiser confirms access to showers and refreshments at Lac de Trémelin for finishers.
Registration also includes event administration, a welcome pack, road book, rider briefing and event media coverage.
Official Regulations
All participants must read and accept the organiser’s 2027 regulations and participation agreement.
